Well, we did finally close on our house last Friday. It was exciting and relieving to get the process done, especially since we had to go through all the things that Kari mentioned. So now we are settling in, slowly but surely. We had SO much help moving (people from church, Coach Edwards, Coach Sents, several of our players, and my parents). We started moving at 10:00 and were eating pizza by about 1:00 (and that's with a 1/2 hour drive between locations). It was great! We love the new house but the newness and trying to get settled in is challenging. Luckily, Kari's parents were here to help us out this weekend (continued unpacking, cleaning up, organizing, changing bathroom faucets, etc.). A huge help!
We've also got a new dog. We decided, instead of going to North Carolina, to adopt a dog from our local SPCA. We have a Golden Retriever named Gus. He's a handful and we're trying to get him settled in. He's is a really sweet boy and has so many good qualities. It's just evident that whoever had him before did not work with him much. We will, though, and I'm sure that he will do fine. Bill and Mary Ann said that they think he is a good dog. I'm not sure that I'd go quite that far yet, but the potential is there.
We will be posting some pictures soon of all that is new in our lives.
